During the second week, please:

• Learn and practice Time and Tenses in ASL

• Practice Non-Manual Morpheme Markers (NMMs) in ASL

• Practice integrating Numbers with Time Signs

• Read about Education of the Deaf in America: K-12, post-secondary/graduate, and the variety of Deaf Education Programs

During the third week, please:

• Practice Work responsibilities and expectations signs and concepts

• Practice Home responsibilities and expectations signs and concepts

• Create and Practice a mini-story detailing your work or home responsibilities and/or expectations

• Read about Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) as it impacts Deaf Americans

During the fourth week, please:

• Practice signing schedules, appointments, and calendar items

• Practice adjusting calendar items to indicate regularity and consistency

• Create and Practice a mini-story detailing several on-going appointments/events in your life

• Read about CODAs (Children Of Deaf Adults)

During the fifth week, please:

• Practice discussing other people and their situations

• Practice role shifting/surrogating/depicting

• Create and practice a mini-story where you depict a short dialogue between you and another person

• Read about alternatives to ASL/signing

During the sixth week, please:

• Practice describing and navigating around your neighborhood, including Sign Names for Cities

• Practice asking someone about where they live, their favorite places, and favorite activities

• Be ready to have questions asked of you about your neighborhood and all it has to offer

• Read about DeafBlind individuals and Communication Styles (Part 1) - Special Visitor (see "Announcements/Reminders")

During the seventh week, please:

• Practice and review Illness and Health signs

• Practice describing symptoms and asking for assistance

• Create a dialogue where you describe a health issue and are provided possible solutions

During the eighth week, please:

• Practice class subjects, fields, and careers signs

• Practice signing more hobbies and interests

• Create a mini-story describing a career or interest

• Read about ASL ABC/Number Stories

During the ninth week, please:

• Practice Size And Shape Specifiers (SASSes)

• Practice (2H) Symmetrical Classifiers

• Practice Asymmetrical Classifiers

• Create a mini-story to describe an object or pattern using SASSes

• Read about ASL Poetry

During the tenth week, please:

• Practice SCL, DCL, and ICL

• Practice BPCL and BCL

• Practice ECL and LCL

• Create a mini-story incorporating all CL types into a single ASL Classifier Story
